Hi all,

Overview - Mario inspired 2D platform game about butler robots set in a London Steam Punk setting

We started Mr Monocle a few months ago now and we have a version released, however we are going to go on Green Light with it when we have some more content so in essence it is still in development.

This is our first try at a platform game and we have done lots of research on "Game Feel" and general level designing, including how Mario levels are designed based on old 4 panel comics.

Mr Monocle has a free Gamejolt version out at the moment which has 8 levels, however the Ouya version which is a paid title has 10 levels so far and is still under development.

I will add more info later.

Right I am back on a break now.

So the game has gone through a lot of testing and several things have changed including controls, some level design, lately we adding running, with that we gave a nice motion effect too.

I personally found a great video which shows every Mario Maker enemy and how they work which has been great for thinking up new enemies.

Below are some of the latest images and some Youtube videos.

Update

More work done on the snow level last night, adding a lot of inertia, but now you slide across ice when you stop holding down a button which I am very happy with. Added some more motion effects too for the snowball throwing robots.

New images coming soon.

Pics below of the new motion effect in action.

As people have been finding it hard we are implementing a continue screen so you can restart on the level you lost all your lives on.
